Team Registration Update for Select Leagues
This season, we’re moving to team-based registration for Select leagues.

Season Starts 17 March 2025

How It Works:

Head Coach Pays for the Team: The head coach covers all players’ registration fees.
Parents Reimburse the Coach: Parents will pay their share of the cost directly to the coach.

Player Fees:

Coach Pitch Baseball & Softball: $70/player
9U Baseball: $85/player
10U Baseball & Softball: $100/player
11U Baseball: $110/player
12U Baseball/Softball: $110/player
14U Baseball: $120/player
16U Softball: $120/player

A minimum of 10 players is required per team.
SportsEngine fees apply: 3% of the total + $1.00.

Registration Process for Select Teams:

Head Coach Registers the Team.
Background Check:
- Coach must pass or have passed a background check valid through 13 June 2025.
- Law enforcement officers may use current credentials instead of a background check.
Invoice Sent to the Coach: Must be paid within 7 days.
Roster sent to Register: Coach will submit a team roster to the register.
Code Provided: Once invoice is paid, the coach gets a code.
Players Register with the Code: Players register to join the roster using the code the head coach provides.

Draft Teams (Tee Ball, Tee Ball+ & 8U Baseball):
For Tee Ball, Tee Ball+ and 8U, registration stays the same:

Coaches register teams.
Players need to individually register
- Returning players may stay on their team from the previous season only. Players wanting to change teams from the previous season will be drafted to a new team.
- Players needing a team can register individually and will be assigned a team.
Teams may be assigned additional players from the draft by the league.
- Coaches cannot choose individual players from the draft.

Draft Player Fees:

Tee Ball Instructional: $50/player
Tee Ball Plus: $60/player
Coach Pitch Baseball: $70/player

A $20 late fee ($10 for Tee Ball) applies after 31 January 2025.
SportsEngine fees apply: 3% of the total + $1.00.

Registration Deadlines:

Draft registration closes 15 February 2025.
Select Team Registration closes 27 February 2025.

The League

Southwest Baseball League (SWBBL) is an independent baseball & softball league for boys and girls aged 3 to High School Seniors.
We are a not-for-profit organization run by a dedicated group of volunteers known as The Directors.

The Draft League is geared toward recreation and instruction. It is for players of all skills and abilities and is especially a good place to start for those players new to baseball or with limited experience. All players who register will be placed on a team. Currently we offer a Draft League in Tee Ball Instructional and 8u Coach Pitch.

The Select League is team oriented and plays at a higher competitive level than draft. Select League team divisions for baseball are 8u Coach Pitch, 9U,10u, 11u, 12u, 14u, and High School level. Softball offers 8U Coach Pitch, 10U, 12U and 15U. Players seek out teams and try out for positions. Select teams may also be involved with playing in tournaments locally and out of town. Check the "Looking" section of our website to find teams who are seeking Select players. Players may also be posted in "Looking" who are seeking a Select team.

Along with the regular game schedule and playoffs, SWBBL also hosts in Spring its annual All Stars Competitions and Games. On this weekend the teams choose their best players to compete in events of hitting, pitching and running, along with the popular All Star Games.

We also provide free live streaming of all games over the internet. Mom or Dad deployed, out of town on business? Don't miss a game as you can view the game live or replay it at your convenience. Also available to Grandparents, other relatives and friends who are out of town, or in town and not able to come out to the park.

SWBBL offers to ballplayers of all abilities opportunity to play baseball no matter ability or experience, fun events such as All Stars and playoffs, all in an atmosphere where good sportsmanship and proper youth sports conduct is demanded by all participants.
