Hello Southwest Baseball Parents, Coaches and Supporters. I hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy.
In light of the most recent federal and state recommendations regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), SWBBL has made the difficult decision to suspend the Spring 2020 Season.
SWBBL will evaluate this decision weekly and determinations of when to resume play will be made in conjunction with state and local government agencies. Rest assured….when they tell us it’s safe to play, we will be prepared to start back up. At this time we are discussing whether it will be possible to have an expanded Fall League for this year. We will update as we learn more.
The SWBBL Board of Directors has determined that at this time, the best thing to do is to give you, the parents and coaches, the option to accept a refund, minus $10 in administrative and prorated fees to cover costs already incurred by the league prior to the shutdown, or have the full amount rolled over to the next season.
Refunds can be sent via e-check* or a paper check in the mail. Refund requests should be directed to email@example.com ONLY. To avoid confusion and possibly slowing down the refund process, PLEASE DO NOT send requests to any other email. Please let us know your preference of e-check or mail. If no preference is stated we will send an e-check.
If you are fine with leaving your registration with SWBL for our next playing season you do not need to do anything, the fee will remain in your account and applied accordingly when we are able to start up.
On behalf of the SWBBL Board, we can’t express how excited we are to get our next season up and running, whenever that is. I have no doubt it will be our greatest season ever. Our kids will show up hungrier to play and with more excitement than ever before! And when all is said and done, these few months of being away from the ballpark will make us all appreciate even more this wonderful game and the time we spend together playing and coaching and cheering.
*An e-check is delivered via email to you by DeLuxe Checks. You will receive information on downloading the check and printing it for you to deposit in your bank. DeLuxe can also direct the check to your chosen bank account if you want to set that up - there is a service fee by DeLuxe for that optional service.
